6748 J. Laing Oshkosh, Wisconsin

This antique soda bottle has a tombstone (or horse-shoe) shaped slug plate. It is embossed, "J. LAING / OSHKOSH, / WIS." The glass manufacturer is NBBGCO (reverse hub). There is an outline of a bottle on the bottom. This mold was used on several other tombstone slug plate bottles from NBBGCO as well throughout Wisconsin. (Other examples include Windels - Appleton and Wheeler & Angus - Waukesha). This light green aqua bottle is 6 & 5/8 inches tall, about 2 & 1/2 inches wide.
