Inscription reads, "ALTHOFF & FEDERSPIEL KENOSHA WIS.” Brewing of beer first started in Wisconsin in 1830. Within 50 years, virtually every city in the state had a functioning brewery. Wisconsin’s long-standing brewing tradition is strong in Kenosha, with two downtown microbreweries: Rustic Road Brewery and Public Craft Brewing Co.
