Eberl, N. - Grand Rapids Wis.

This has to be one of the best Wisconsin Stoneware bottles. It dates from the 1860's and is stamped "N. EBERL GRAND RAPIDS" with a cobalt wash in the stamp. Wayne Kroll lists an M. Abril as a brewer in the 1870's. It is most likely the same brewer, but it's not clear which spelling is correct. There are only a couple of these that I am aware of, and one is missing the blob. This one has a great stamp, glaze and form.
