George Walter, Appleton, Wisconsin

This clear and transparent blob beer bottle from the George Walter Brewery has a long, thin neck. With a round shoulder, the words embossed are “GEO. WALTER STAR BREWERY APPLETON, WIS”. This antique is a beautiful representation of the type of blob bottles created back in the 1800’s. It’s thought to be from the George Walter Brewery, aka Star Brewery, manufactured between 1890 and 1899. No longer standing, the Appleton brewing complex used to be formed by two neighboring breweries and is now currently occupied by the Appleton Police Department.
