Gridley Dairy Company Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

This Gridley milk bottle is similar to the one featured on a old poster on the home-page. That poster depicted a young man named Neil Pohl who did indeed grow up strong on Gridley products. This bottle is embossed, "GRIDLEY DAIRY CO." in block letters on the front, "SEALED 1 ONE QUART 3" on the back and, "T. M' F G CO. 12" on the bottom. This example measures just over 9 inches as a quart but there are similarly embossed bottles in other sizes. While this embossing is not rare, there is an amber version of this bottle which is very collectable because of the color. I wonder what was in the amber bottle?
