Hopkins Milwaukie Wisconsin cobalt blue pontiled
Here is another hall of fame antique bottle. This one is an 1850's light cobalt soda with a 'top-hat' lip finish, a big iron crusted kick up pontil and just about everything else you could want in a Wisconsin soda. Embossed on the front "HOPKINS CELEBRATED MINERAL WATERS MILWAUKIE" Note the N's are reversed and the old style spelling of Milwaukee. My example is an 8.75 of 10. This one I got from Jim Janish for a load of cash and his pick of twenty bottles out of my basement back when I had the bottle dungeon. He did well and I got this treasure. Thanks Jim! Jim found this bottle digging along a foundation in the hallowed Brewers Hill neighborhood in Milwaukee.
