J.B. Maxfield Ovoid antique stoneware Jug Milwaukee

This Milwaukee antique three gallon Jug has a perfect stamp. This photo comes courtesy of Scott Riser fall 2008. Marked with a cobalt decorated stamp, "J.B. MAXFIELD MILWAUKEE" The Maxfield pottery works marked their wares with this stamp between 1855 and 1858. The antique maxfield jug also has a cobalt three on the side just out of view and obviously a great cobalt floral.
