JNO. Gund Brewing Co., La Crosse, Wisconsin

The John Gund Brewing Company was launched in 1880. Gund’s beer was extremely successful and was shipped all over Wisconsin, Dakota, Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, and Nebraska.

In 1897, one of the most disastrous fires in the history of La Crosse destroyed the John Gund Brewing Company. This bottle inscription reads, “JNO. GUND BREWING CO., LA CROSSE.”
