John Gund Brewing Co. (True Pint variant), La Crosse, Wisconsin

This bottle is from the original brewery, dating from before the disastrous 1897 fire at the John Gund Brewing Company. Glass maker was "S.B. & G.Co." (on the base). Inscription reads, “JOHN GUND BREWING CO. LA CROSSE” The John Gund Brewing Company was a hugely successful business, capitalized with an original invest of $100,000 – in 1880!
