Joseph Schlitz, Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Amber quart size beer decanter acid etched with "SCHLITZ" with a metal handle and porcelain top. The top reads "THE BEER THAT MADE MILWAUKEE FAMOUS" with a globe in blue. These decanters were made before prohibition in 1919, but were used well after. Many of them have the word beer ground off presumably due to prohibition rules since they could only be used for non-alcoholic products like root beer or soda.
