Kineer, Wm. West Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Here is a tremendous "Wm. A Kinnear, Corner Store, In, Pioneer Block, West Eau Claire, WIS. drugstore bottle. The first two lines, "Wm. A. Kineer, Corner Store" arch downward, and the words "Pioneer Block, West Eau Claire" arch upward. In between is a embossed mortar and pestle. This bottle comes from the first Pioneer Block building which was built in 1876 and burned in 1882-1884. It probably dates from the late 1870's. Note that it is embossed "West Eau Claire" instead of "Eau Claire". A few other Eau Claire drugstores have this embossing. The glass maker is W.T. & Co.
