Inscription reads, “MANITOWOC BOTTLING WORKS MANITOWOC WIS.” Fred Schwarzenbart founded The Manitowoc Bottling works in 1895. He passed away in 1934 and his son took over management of the company. The family was well-regarded in town, having produced soft drinks for over 85 years. Fred Schwarzenbart was only 57 when he passed away. Because of poor health, he had retired three years previously.
