Inscription reads, “NEW LONDON BOTTLING WORKS.” This could be part of a fascinating story. Apparently, many bottlers tried to imitate the success of Coca-Cola by bottling “Coca-Nola” secretly. The New London Bottling Works was a “suspected” bottler – suspected because the government accused Coca-Nola as containing cocaine. Wow!
