New Ulm - 4 gallon crock unsigned
Four gallon salt glaze butter churn with a distinctive cobalt flower decoration and ear handles. This piece is attributed to Gommel and Forster of New Ulm Pottery, due to the decoration's similarity to Ohio decorations of the mid 1800's (Gommel migrated from Cincinnati, Ohio). See the 3 gallon churn in this gallery with a similar flower.
