America is truly the Land of Opportunity. John Haas was from Germany and immigrated to America to pursue his dreams of becoming a beer baron. He was partner in the Ripon City Beer Brewery from 1860-65, then became sole proprietor. He was a successful brewer, managing the company until he passed away in 1907. He fulfilled his “American Dream!”
