Sheboygan Mineral Water sided bottle

This is an incredible specimen... One of the coolest Wisconsin bottles I have ever seen. It was up for auction the spring of 2011. I went to the auction thinking I was simply the under bidder. So many people said it was going to go crazy at auction. When it came up at auction the bidding jumped up one thousand then two thousand all the way to $2900. All of the bids were coming in over the phone. With two hundred people in the auction house I never saw anyone in the room bid. Just as I really started to believe it was going out of the range I was willing to pay the bidding stopped cold at $2900. I waited a minute then bid $3000. The auctioneer talked about the bottle for ten minutes saying it was a $10,000 bottle and one of two known while calling for bids. I think they even contacted some of the higher bidders back by phone. As evidenced by it being here in my collection no one else bid. Not sure how much higher I would have gone BUT I would have gone much higher. Crazy but amazing. You can read all about it and see every facet in the Hall Of Fame. It truly is one of the great antique bottles from Wisconsin. This example is one of a few known and attic mint.
