Inscription reads, “IRON RIVER T F MACKMILLER BOTTLING WORKS.” T. F. Mackmiller got his start as a retail cola merchant in Iron River. It was a tough way to earn a living, but he was successful, eventually earning enough to purchase this factory. He also dabbled in liquor whole selling.
