T. Schlachter Earthenware Beer Bottle
This is a very unusual clay bottle because it appears to be earthenware, not salt glazed stoneware like most other Wisconsin clay bottles. There were many small earthenware producers in the 1840's and 1850's in Wisconsin that were small. Two in the Sheboygan area include Langenberg and Peter Bern's. This does not appear to be a Langenberg piece based on the color but could be a Berns piece. Almost certainly it was made by a local producer. More research is needed to see if Schlachter and Berns were in business at the same time. This is one of the few earthenware or yellow ware bottles from Wisconsin and is extremely rare - this is the only one I have seen. It is stamped "T. SCHLACHTER" who was a brewer in Sheboygan.
