The John Gund Brewing Co. (quart), La Crosse, Wisconsin

This bottle was probably a sample from the John Gund Brewing Company. On back “THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE SOLD.” Inscription reads, “JOHN GUND BREWING CO. LA CROSSE, WIS.” In 1901, Henry Gund was elected vice-president of the Wisconsin Brewer’s Association. In 1901, he donated land, worth seven hundred dollars, to Lutheran Hospital.
